How to Use RDFa in web pages

Wed, 2008-03-26 20:55 -- DrupalGeek

I am trying to create some basic pages that have embedded RDFa that look good in webpages. It has been slow going since I don't have much time for this stuff ... and finding examples is tough.

While wasting time on twitter.com markbirbeck gave me some good links.

More 'theoretical'

On his blog I found a good how to that got me started ... now I want more !!! I want to add a full profile with my address, lots of online accounts, my websites and basically everything I can figure out to add...

I found another link to the ontologyonline blog article semantic-annotation-with-rdfa-simple.html that I am about to read.. I will post the link to my profile after I get a little closer.

Now ... do I want all that "personal" data linked all in one place? It is really all out there "unlinked." My gmail email already gets lots of spam and is on my blog, my phone number and address are in the phone book and can be searched online easy enough. I think the "power" is in all of the accounts I have on different online services where I have lots of tracks but not all with the same user name.... what will our "semantic search big brother" do with this one stop shopping where I say they really all do belong to me??? things I guess I should think about...

Hi!

Great to see that people dive into it. You may wanna have a look at my examplary (FOAF) page http://sw-app.org/mic.xhtml or as well have a look at http://riese.joanneum.at/about.html (uses other vocabs such as DOAP, etc.).

Cheers,
Michael
