The author Paul Albert makes a great case for his organization - Weill Cornell Medical Library - to switch from a proprietary CMS to drupal. It is long and maybe boring (unless you love hearing about the wonders of drupal!!) but does a through job looking at the benefits of an open source project like drupal.
